AC Shadows Reveals Unexpected AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre collaboration that defies usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of banned ceremonies and terrifying transformations reverberate through the darkness." The plot presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.
The adventure centers on "bizarre tests and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an unique katana alongside numerous objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This update also adds the game's third complimentary story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
